We are OPEN 24 Hours - Every day of the year.

The resort offers seclusion and tranquility. Hiking trails lead into rugged, primeval canyons and through mature cedar and pine trees. Bald eagles and deer are often seen. With the accent on simple and rustic, Mystic Hot Springs is a destination that can serve the needs of a group or individual travelers. There is a natural beauty found here that cannot be compared to that built with human hands.

Incredible Views of the Sevier Valley

From our tubs, the views of the Sevier Valley and surrounding mountain ranges are magnificent. 175 sprawling acres adjoin national forest land for exploring and solace. Homesteaded in 1890, these hot springs have been enjoyed by many people throughout time. The artesian springs flow at 200 gallons per minute at 168 degrees. As the water cools, the minerals precipitate out and form layers of rock. The mound has been growing for millions of years. A very unique part of the earth, come experience the special energy of Mystic Hot Springs.

LOTS TO DO . . .

The Sevier Valley has many points of interest. From river rafting to minature golf, salt mines to Indian ruins, there are many things to enjoy in our Little Green Valley. One of our favorite canyons (Monrovian Park) is only 4 miles away. Please ask us for directions. There are 175 acres of land to explore. We have many hiking and mountain biking trails through canyons and over mountains. Our mountains are filled with deer, elk, eagles, rabbits, and many other varieties of flora and fauna. We have PingPong, Live Music, Drum Circles, Horse Shoes, and Volley Ball for kids and adults to enjoy.

OR. . .RELAX AND DO NOTHING ! !

Mystic Hot Springs is a visual treat to the mind.  The stress of everyday life melts away as the beauty of nature and the sound of water soothes your soul. Come to the edge of the wilderness and rediscover why you´re alive! Hang out and relax in a hot spring under the stars. A magical place where prices are still very reasonable.

History

The Indians that were in this area were nomadic bands from the Ute, Shoshone or Piute tribes.  They would make their camps on the warm ground near the hot springs.  They would soak in the hot pots for warmth and comfort.  It is told that the Indians would paint themselves with the red mud to keep them safe.  Later as the settelers arrived the hot springs became popular as a resting place along the "Old Spanish Trail".

Homesteaded in 1886 by the Cooper family, Mystic Hot Springs (formerly known as Monroe Hot Springs) has had good and bad times through the last 100 years.  During the early part of the century  a collecting pool was made of wood at the bottom of the hill.  Soon a dance floor was added and people would come from miles around in their horse and buggys to dance and soak the nights away.  Their motto "The home of mirth and merriment" still rings true today.

Owners personal history

Sticker and Animation artist Mike Ginsburg was traveling in his bus back to Denver from the last Vegas Dead shows, when he stumbled into Mystic Hot Springs.  Instantly he realized that everything he was looking for was right there.  Miraculously he was able to purchase the resort.  After six years, he is still at it!  You undoubtedly will recognize many stickers Mike has designed and probably have some on your car.  He also worked on animation for the Dead's video screens on the summer tours in 1991 and 1992. Mike's artistic talent has been used to add new soaking areas and bring a special energy to this wonderful place.

Please check it out, and enjoy his efforts.
