Mystic Hot Springs . . . A very Unique and Special Part of our Planet !!
The mounds continue to grow as they have for millions of years. The water surfaces at 168° Fahrenheit, at a flow of 200 gallons per minute from the Monroe mound and 100 gallons a minute from the Red Hill mound. There are many minerals in our water that precipitate out and form layers of rock as the water cools. These travertine mounds are a fantastic record of time. |
